Havre-à-Boucher

The pioneer of Havre-Boucher, Acadian Claude Coste, was from around Île Madame in southern Cape Breton. He arrived with his family around 1784 to settle on new land. Today, Havre-Boucher's Acadian descendants still remember their Acadian heritage, because during the World Acadian Congress of 2004, the Coste or DeCoste family reunion took place in Havre-Boucher.
