The original idea that led to the creation of this Web site came from André Boudreau. Born in Nigadoo, New Brunswick in 1945, this Acadian settled in Alberta and dedicated his career to the development of the Canadian Francophonie. A well known force behind the World Acadian Congress, he founded and chaired the first WAC, which was held in southeastern New Brunswick in 1994. Founder of numerous Francophone associations, André Boudreau received the Order of Canada in 2000 for all his achievements. He died on November 23, 2005.
This Web site is dedicated to his memory.
