Pubnico (Pobomcoup)

Pubnico is the oldest Acadian village, founded in the 17th century by a few French families such as the d'Entremonts. Around 1772, after the Deportation, some Acadian families like the Amiraults and d'Entremonts returned. Today, Pubnico is made up of a series of small villages, Pubnico-Ouest being the largest. Nova Scotia's Village historique acadien and the Musée acadien and Archives can be found there.
