Sainte-Anne-du-Ruisseau

Like Pubnico, the village of Sainte-Anne-du-Ruisseau was colonized by Deportation exiles. Returning from Massachusetts and Pennsylvania, the families of Pierre LeBlanc, Pierre Surette and Pierre and Louis Mius arrived in Sainte-Anne-du-Ruisseau around 1767. Today, Sainte-Anne-du-Ruisseau holds Yarmouth County's oldest Acadian festival, the Festival acadien, founded in 1978.
