A well known force behind the World Acadian Congress, he founded and chaired the first WAC, which was held in southeastern New Brunswick in 1994. Founder of numerous Francophone associations, André Boudreau received the Order of Canada in 2000 for all his achievements. He died on November 23, 2005.
